Guest guest
Hi Bypass Buddies, After just 4 days of healthier food choices with no sweets or snacking, my sugar cravings have drastically decreased. I guess that there is truth in what a surgeon said about high simple carbohydrate (desserts, etc)intake creating physical cravings for more. It plays havoc with blood sugar & insulin release in the body setting off hunger feelings. Plus, the food tends to not be dense enough to stay in my pouch to create the feeling of lasting satiety. I'm back to drinking a protein shake for breakfast to give me a protein load to start the day with. I'm praying that I can continue eating healthier. I've been freaked out about the 10 lbs. that I gained these past 5+ months. As I get back on track with my food & exercise, the weight will come off and hopefully even another 15 lbs to put me at goal weight. We'll see. I just don't want to feel that old insanity around food, obsessed with what I will or will not eat. It drives me nuts. Somehow, after making a decision last Friday to let go of desserts and snacking, I feel more at peace and less obsessed. I hope that it continues!!!!!!!!!!
