I just wanted to say hi! I don't have any advice as we also recently found out we need a helmet for brachy. My son will be getting his DOC band in two weeks. How old is your son? My son will be just over 10 months when he gets the band. We're hoping for a decent result even though he's a little older. Good luck!

Hi!

Our son will get his in a few weeks - he is 4.5 now but by the time we get the

helmet he will be probably 5 or close to 5.5 months...

Keep me updated on anything you hear about it! Good cleaning solutions, etc...

Are you going to paint your baby's helmet?

I want to but my husband is leaning towards no. I am going to convince him

though

I am looking at it as a new family pet love it while he has it and then it

will runaway...

Trying to stay upbeat because I feel bad for him. He has a hard time sleeping

and had been colic so this is going to be a little rough..

Also I read a lot about amazing results on a little bit older babies (10-12

months)- - I am sure everything will turn out great!!

That's great you are starting so young. I'm staying confident we'll still see a decent result. Cranial Tech showed us some before and after photos of babies starting around my son's age. We watched and waited per ped's advice at 6 months,but it stayed flat and didn't round out on its own. I wish we would have started earlier, but I can't go back, I'm just glad he did send us now.

I do want to decorate the helmet. I found a site on line, I think called bling your band, where a lady sells vinyl decals for these helmets. There's a lot of cute designs. My favorite one right now says, "Fixin my flat...." and has pictures of flat tires. I really hope he adjusts to it quickly, that's my biggest concern. I hope your little guy sleeps okay in it! I'm sure they will both be fine and it will bother us more than them!
