SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA CELIAC NEWS -- December 2002

STANFORD

The Stanford Celiac Support Group will meet next for brunch at 10AM, on

Saturday, January 11, 2003 at First Watch restaurant, 201 2nd Ave in San

Mateo. The restaurant has a gluten free menu to order from. Please

bring

a gluten free breakfast bread to share (bagels, muffins, scones).

Directions: from 101 take the 3rd Ave. West exit, turn right on

Elsworth.

The restaurant is at the corner of 2nd and Elsworth, telephone

650-342-2356. Please RSVP to me since space is limited. Please bring

cash

to pay at the restaurant as we will divide up the tab.

Note: The Foundation fundraising dinner on December 5 was a success -

and

lots of fun. We raised $1,700 for research.

SANTA CRUZ

The next meeting of the Santa Cruz Celiac Support group will be on

Saturday, January 11, 2003, at 11AM. We will be meeting in Room E in

the

Education Building at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, 1555 Soquel

Drive

(east of Highway 1 at the Soquel Avenue/Drive exit). The Education

Building is behind the hospital, and Room E is at the top of the stairs.

If you wish, bring a gluten-free potluck item to share with the group

(be

sure to bring the recipe or a list of ingredients).

SEBASTOPOL

The Sebastopol Group will meet Saturday, January 18, 2003 from 10 AM-

noon

at Sebastopol Christian Church, at the corner of Bodega Ave (Hwy 12) and

Jewell Ave. Our topic is " Eating Out in Restaurants Successfully " .

Executive Conference Room of the Queen of the Valley Hospital, 1000

Trancas

Street, Napa. Look for signs at the information desk. Lunch may be

purchased in the cafeteria. Please bring gluten free baked goods to

share,

and at least 12 copies of the recipe or list of ingredients.

Directions: From the San Francisco area take Highway 29 N to Napa. Turn

right on Trancas. The Hospital is between Jefferson and Main.
