Guest guest
-Hi charlotte glad we are being of help. I too had to wait to stop growing. i started my ortho work when i was 12. so i know how it feels like a long trek! And i can say from my experience that excitement takes over fear when you have been waiting so long for the op. I did have my op on the nhs. they were brilliant. nad it was such a blessing not to have to pay, because i know i wouldnt be able to afford it without the nhs so im great ful for that. the hospital i was at was also really nice. it was an hour away from my home tho which was hard for the family to visit. but the nurses were great and proved good company. the only thing the hospital where i was at only had theatre on one day per week - thursday. and i was told if there was an emergency cancer case that my operation could be canceled even on the day i was due to have it. i didnt mind tho cancer paitents are far more important that my surgery was. my operation to have my wisdom teeth was canceled a few days before and put back a month. fortunatley my jaw surgery wasnt canceled which i was quite glad of as i had psyched myself up. Im currently living in york, i go to university there. I used to live in bridlington, east yorkshire. and my surgery was in HULL. and the royal infirmary. wow kent! i have never been there heard its nice tho! hope this infor helps. if you have an questions feel free to email me on bland_kat@... its really cool to see more brits joining!!!!!!!
