Don't have a reference, but wanted to say congratulations on the wedding, and

for sticking to SCD at this very tempting (so much illegal food around ) time.

honeymoon (!), and am doing OK considering that though not breaking SCD diet, I

did have an occasional glass of white wine, some fruit and raw vegetables along

the way--all of which are still too advanced. As a result I've been bloated

almost the whole time, with a couple of really rough food-related emotional

days. yuck.

convinced that I am struggling with a pretty serious yeast issue, and would like

to educate myself more about it. Looking at the various books on Amazon, it's

hard to tell which might be useful--I'm looking for a reference beyond the usual

" eat whole grains, reduce sugar, etc. " I'm looking for a book rather that

delves into the science behind the issue, different ways of dealing with

persistent/chronic yeast issues, and goes beyond basic education about reducing

sugar intake and the pseudo-science that goes with so much of this stuff.

There

is a list of helpful books on candida in the group Files, in the candida

information:

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/BTVC-SCD/files/Candida%20or%20Yeast%20Information/

or

http://pecanbread.com/p/how/yeast.html

You

can also read more information on dealing with yeast while on SCD in the same

files. I’m afraid most of us with digestive disorders have to deal with

a yeast overgrowth as well. Comes with the territory.
