<<I know even in a marriage- I try to minimize the diet part and keep

life as " normal " as possible. What personal traits can we bring to

the table? We are so much more than this :)>>

Yes. This is really true.

When alone on a Friday night, though, I try to remember what it was

like to be married to someone who " pushed " illegals offering me

deserts at restaurants and at home. My ex constantly felt sorry for

himself demanding that it was his right to keep candy, chips, ice

cream, etc. not only in the house but very prominently displayed.

Rarely I would be exhausted and " desperate " for something to eat ...

Like when I'd worked on my feet all day long at very physical labor

painting a mural.

At these times I'm vulnerable. Blood sugar is crashing so I'm looking

for ANYTHING that will raise my blood sugar and his junk was right

there. Nothing around that's legal and easy. A very immature and

self-centered man, my ex had no sympathy for it. There are such women

out there, too. And we are far better off alone!

On the other hand, there are also kind, patient, and loving people who

are looking for a mate and when looking at my own positive attributes

I believe that through the requirements of my gut " problems " God has

given me GIFTS, too... like humility, kindness, and patience. Some

folks never learn these. I am grateful to be presented the

opportunity for learning them. And I am ALSO grateful not to be with

folks who DON'T have these attributes!!!

Blessings,

Artful Carol
