Guest guest
This is my first posting, but I've been reading for a couple of weeks. Had my 2 hour RNY Tuesday afternoon, came home from the hospital yesterday, early afternoon. Everything went very well, no pain, no nausea, I feel amazingly good. The easiest surgery I've ever had! My hospital (I'm a retired employee) offers something called Healing Touch Therapy. At this point there is no charge for it and I was lucky enough to have two sessions while in hospital. I think it was very beneficial and contributed to the lack of pain. I've been off the pain meds since less than 24 hours post surgery. If this therapy is available in your area, I really recommend it. I've been drinking my protein drinks, water and tried my beloved coffee this morning, but couldn't drink much of it. Guess my tastes have changed. I also took my chewable vitamins. The only discomfort I have had has been when I swallow too much at once and it passes in minutes. In the hospital I could only sleep on my back, but as soon as I was home, I crashed on my side and slept for 3 hours without moving and have been sleeping on my side ever since. I am just thrilled that it's done and went so well. Anyone have any good soup recipes?

I am eccastic to hear how well you are doing, and so soon! I craved soup on week 4. I never did find a good soup recipe, but pureed up some French Onion soup to drink. It was so good. I am now looking into how good/bad Hot and Sour soup may be. Got that craving bug again. Egg Drop Soup won't do it for me! I also pureed up Progresso Chicken and veggie soup with most of the veg and noodles removed. Too much chicken, but very tasty! Janet
