Sorry, Suzanne, but Aloe Vera is not SCD-legal.

From the legal/illegal list at

http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/legal/legal_illegal_a-c.htm

"Aloe Vera Illegal: It contains mucilaginous polysaccharides as well as increasing the release of tumor necrosis factor which is associated with IBD inflammation and increased immune stimulation."

You commented on the polysaccharides yourself -- I hope that you are aware that polysaccharides are not legal on this diet, because they end up feeding the unwanted organisms in our guts.

You might want to investigate SCD-legal anti-inflammatories.

Subject: RE: Has anyone tried aloe?

Hi All

Has anyone tried aloe vera capsules, there seems to be much information regarding its anti-inflammatory properties that I certainly need for my other health issue much don't want to aggravate my colon issues.

There is a large swing in price..there is amp-500 for hundred dollars, catherine choice for 40.00, plain aloe juice that claims to contain the mucopolysccarides needed.

Help! anyone every try these?
