Guest guest
Hi guys, Just thought I'd report that I am in a mild flare. I think it's due to stress. Even though I have been off meds and have introduced non SCD food at times into my diet, I am basically mostly SCD. I have the most minute dilute spotting of blood and slightly looser stools with slight intestinal discomfort before BM. As many of you know, I only had mild UC limited to the procto-sigmoid area. My stress has been pretty intense: I have been in the process for the last 2 months of buying the dental practice where I have associated for the last 22 years, and I drove 6 hours roundtrip down to Darien, CT for an incredible MD who diagnosed my son with PANDAS. This is very positive....I have been trying to get him diagnosed for the last 2 years and now, finally, we can get treatment. This doctor is phenomenal. And finally, after 19 months in court with my ex--he has withdrawn his motion to reduce his child support. All positive things, but they have been stressful. I have to apologize to some members who emailed me off list about CHL issues. I have had and I have no time to answer. I will try to in the future, if you still want me to. So, I am eating yogurt and my chicken bone broth for a day and then I'll add some protein into my soup and go from there. I post this so newbies can see that you can go into remission and have healing and still get a flare from stress. The good news is I always knew it might happen and I knew I had the tools ( SCD) to handle any flare. I also restarted my Lialda and LDN which I haven't taken for close to a year. Even nicer, if I need any advice I know where to turn! Terry
