Professional dental cleaning post-surgery

Well I went to get my teeth cleaned yesterday at my dentists for one

last time before surgery. At the end of the appointment the

receptionist asked me when I would next like to come in for a cleaning

and I realized that I had no idea how long it would be before I would

be able to keep my jaw open again and without suffering any

consequences. For the veterans on the site, how long did you wait

before you got a dental cleaning post-surgery? I'll be asking my

surgeon this question as well but I thought I'd survey the group's

responses. Oh, and thankfully no cavities were found! I hate drills

too:-(
