Guest guest
Hi Eileen, Please, would you share the source for your statement that McCormick's spices are contaminated from shared lines and not GF. I have been diagnosed as celiac for 21 years and have always been told by the company when I checked and verified that these spices were GF and safe. I have never been aware of any reaction to their spices. Currently a Penzy's is in my area and had thought to try them but I would like to know the source of this statement. I receive info. on GF products and McCormicks has always been approved as GF. Is this something new? Thank you, Gen

If you have an actual Penzey's store near by, consider yourself blessed. n ______________________________A funny, touching gift book for cat lovers. Guest guest
I love Penzey's spices too, and we have a letter from them in the files here. " GF " does not always mean SCD legal. It is easy to order the Penzey's spices on line. For me, it was just easier to equip the kitchen with Penzey's and be done with it. It was an initial investment- but like other things- yogurt maker and so on, made it easier to cook SCD in the long run. PJ This info is on the Mc Cormick web site: http://mccormick.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/mccormick.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_fa\ qid=31 & p_created=1188588782 & p_sid=bynzF-1k & p_accessibility=0 & p_redirect= & p_lva= & \ p_sp=cF9zcmNoPSZwX3NvcnRfYnk9JnBfZ3JpZHNvcnQ9JnBfcm93X2NudD0xMTksMTE5JnBfcHJvZHM\ 9JnBfY2F0cz0mcF9wdj0mcF9jdj0mcF9zZWFyY2hfdHlwZT1hbnN3ZXJzLnNlYXJjaF9ubCZwX3BhZ2U\ 9MQ!! & p_li= & p_topview=1 Do your products contain gluten? Question Do your products contain gluten? Answer None of our single ingredient spices and herbs contain gluten. In addition, all of our extracts, including Pure Vanilla, are gluten-free. Some of our products do contain gluten. When WHEAT is the source, it will always be called out within the ingredient statement, and listed in bold. We do not maintain a list of gluten-free products, as our formulas change from time to time. > > > > > Hi Eileen, > > > Please, would you share the source for your statement that McCormick's > > > spices are contaminated from shared lines and not GF. > > > I have been diagnosed as celiac for 21 years and have always been told > > > by the company when I checked and verified that these spices were GF and > > > safe. Guest guest
so they do make gluten products and gf -so i believe they're on shared lines is what my celiec group meant - i'm sticking with penzeys - i also use Badia -sold at shoprite near me - no legal letter but the woman has a nephew with autism on a restricted diet not scd but understood that i needed to have confirmation or get sick - so i trust her and also never had problems so they're safe for me eileen 2 years 5 months scd > > > > > > > Hi Eileen, > > > > Please, would you share the source for your statement that McCormick's > > > > spices are contaminated from shared lines and not GF. > > > > I have been diagnosed as celiac for 21 years and have always been told > > > > by the company when I checked and verified that these spices were GF and > > > > safe.
