Guest guest
Hey Winnie, I live in Manhattan and my son received a STARband from Arimed. If you decide to go there, try to get all your appointments with Bob, not Mohammed. I have heard Rochelle Silberman at KidiSplint in Brooklyn has a good reputation. If you have a source of transportation, Cranial Tech in Paramus, NJ is a 25 minute drive from Midtown. I would highly recommend them. My son received his second band there. Please let me know if you need any other help. It was so strange that I never saw ANY kids in NYC with helmets during the 5 months my son had one on. No one was ever rude, but the stares and double takes got to be pretty funny after a while. It sounds like your daughter may have scaphy. I've only read that back sleeping can help. My daughter, Hermione, is 6.5 months old and her pediatrician told us at her 4 and 6 month checkup that she has a " pre-mie head " . She is a stomach sleeper so her left and her right are equally flat and her head is really long. > > here are my questions > > 1) I live in Manhattan and can't drive, so I can only take a subway. Where can I get a helmet? > > 2) Are there any " natural " ways I can reshape my baby's head? She hates sleeping in the stroller or in the baby carrier. The only way she will fall asleep is on her tummy. > > Thank you > Winnie > (Hermione 6.5 months) >
