Re: Freezing food/vacation

If I make food (muffins, meats) and freeze them before vacation, then packed them in a cooler for 1 1/2 days of travel, and it thaws, should I re-freeze it when I get to the vacation house or just keep things in the fridge and will they last a week?? I guess the meat should be eaten sooner than a week.

Just trying to think ahead for vacation!

if you refreeze the muffins they will lose quality and taste, but refreezing the

meat could be dangerous- as there may be a risk of food poisoning. I never

refreeze meat.
