Dear Souls:

Dr. Phil and Tony Robbins and Deepak Chopra and Andy Weil and all the rest,

ALL have supplements out or coming out. It is BIG busienss. They think the

entire babyboom population is their potential clientele. From what I hear from

publishers, synergy is the ticket nowadays. if you have books, you should also

be

selling your own supplements, vits. if you have books and tv show, even

better for vits and supps. if you have a books, radio AND tv show, even better

to

sell vits and supps because everything you do and say is a '

walking advertisment' for your vits and supps. In other words, maybe people

are becoming vits and supps salesmen, and " just happen " to be on tv.

What about Dr. supps for " removing crabbiness. " ?

Or what about Ray Romano supps for " being nice. " ?

Or maybe there are Love vits for being uh, er, vixenish?

How about Jackass vits and supps that make you even more stupid?

Aw, Ceep, you're knocking my hero Andy. He's had supp's out for quite awhile,

not just coming out, but I don't buy 'em cuz they're not designed for

WLS'ers. But BEFORE I had surgery, he was truly my guru and his " anti-oxidant

cocktail " truly kept me very healthy--and he wasn't selling his own brand of

that or

anyone else's. One has to pick and choose what to believe and not throw the

baby out with the bathwater. Now Phil and Deepak, I can take 'em or leave 'em.

But who the heck is Tony? I hate to admit ignorance, but I never heard of him.

If he's on cable or something, tho, that wud 'splain it. DH has always refused

to spring for the cost of THAT.

Where ya been, by the way?

Tony Robbins is a motivational speaker. I've seen him...he motivated

me to get something to eat. :))

Heck I love to admit I don't know who any of these people are. I do know

who Dr Phil is because I have seen ads for his show. I NEVER watch any of

these talk shows not even Oprah. She annoyed me when she said if she could

lose the weight anyone could. Meanwhile she had a personal trainer and

chef!

There are few people out there who really seem to get it. Unless they have

been there themselves, or loved someone who has, they don't seem able to

truly understand what it is like. It is an area I would like to specialize

in (counseling)when I get more training(got my masters). Hard though as

there just isn't much in the way of trainings/seminars etc. In the meantime

I will do what I can.

In my opinion, he's the most motivational speakers of our time. I'll be

honest and admit I bought his tapes and did them religiously. He is what

inspired

me to change, take charge of my life and eventually have WLS.

A few years ago I saw that Tony had an obese son.
