Guest guest
Thank you for the reply. I have been brushing my teeth on the outside because I am wired shut. I also use the pres mouthwash. My wires are being snipped this friday (10 days post-op) and I plan on buying a wee toothbrush so I can get inside!! It just tastes so metallic inside my mouth. Yesterday I was so happy because I was finally starting to feel a minor improvement but today I had a real setback. I had a glass of choclate millk that decided to curdle. Well lets not go into details but I will tell you~I was scared and thought I was going to choke to death before it was over!! I got out my wire snips just in case. I was also home by myself....not sure if it the oral meds that are causes upset stomach but it was a terribel morning. This has got to be one of the worst things I have had to endure....sorry but I am not being a very tropper on this one!! --- In orthognathicsurgerysupport , miss_redagain2005 <no_reply@y...> wrote: > Sherry, > Welcome to the board and to the post-op side of the world. > I too suffered from daily migraines. Guest guest
Sherry, Good luck with your wire cutting. Mine is scheduled for the 29th. I'd love to hear how it goes for you. I'm sorry to hear about your setback. Just remember - if it goes down liquid it will come up liquid. It's gross and it's scary and it's sometimes painful ... but you won't choke ... and it will pass. It did, right?! So, maybe the worst is now past you. Hang in there! Take care, Carol > > > Hello--my name is Sherry. I just had suegery on June 7th for TMJ. > > > Terrible daily headaches etc! Guest guest
Sherry, Oh my! It sounds like you're a real trooper! I've been wired shut and splinted for 6 weeks now and I have 2 more to go. Yes, in the beginning I got light headed and weak from poor intake of calories and vitamins. It only lasted a couple of days before I was able to keep myself drinking drinking drinking. Hang in there! Carol > > > > Sherry, > > > > Welcome to the board and to the post-op side of the world. > > > > I too suffered from daily migraines.
