Guest guest
Hi Groupies...haven't posted in about a month...been real busy, back to work and all. Anyways, I am one third of the way to my goal. Had my 5 week checkup on July 8, and all went well. Only complaint was that I am not getting in enough protein, and considering I already have extremely thin hair, that is a BIG factor for me. I cannot do the protein powders...they are sooooo chalky. I try to eat protein every chance I get, and haven't found anything that I cannot eat comfortably. I am 3 lbs away from 50 lost so far, and I follow the rules pretty well. My female system is all out of whack, so much so that I actually took a pg test today (NEG). Anyways...babble babble, blah, blah. Just thought I would post and say hello, hope all is well and good luck and many prayers to those approaching surgery. ita, keep up the good work and watch out for that monster in the shower (lol), Dora, stay busy and that date will be here before you know it. Amy, remember the beef jerkey and nuts posting...someone had said never never again? Well, at my last dr appt, I asked and was told anything in moderation. When eating nuts, choose the less oily ones like almonds. Cashews and sunflower are highly oily. Beef jerky has a lot of sodium, but good protein, so if you dont have sodium issues...just dont overdo it. Just thought I would share. Anyways...enuf already, i am babbling on and on. Guest guest
GREAT job Donna! Keep up the good work! I have thin hair too and I think there was a small period of time that I wasn't getting enough protein in my opinion, but my blood work came back wonderful. I haven't had problems with my hair yet, I have been seeing more coming out in the shower, but my hair is also growing and it's past my shoulders, so I'm thinking that it is only because it is long. I know how you feel about your hair, it may sound vain, but I don't know how I would live without all my hair. My husband laughs and says he'd just buy me a wig! in Delaware Lap RNY 3/10/04 261/178/120 In a message dated 7/27/2004 12:07:16 AM Eastern Daylight Time, " Donna " writes: >Hi Groupies...haven't posted in about a month...been real busy, back >to work and all. Guest guest
Hi Donna If you go to vitalady.com you can order samples of all types of protein powders to try there. I was not wanting to pay a ton of money for a huge tub of protein powder that I was going to end up hating so I went there and ordered a bunch of samples and found 2(!) I actually liked and I HATED protein powders with a passion! The woman who runs the business is also a WLS graduate of many years and is VERY knowledgable and helpful and so is her staff. My best to you! Colleen Lap-RNY 11/03/03 315/195/??? > Hi Groupies...haven't posted in about a month...been real busy, back > to work and all. Anyways, I am one third of the way to my goal.
