Guest guest
Hi, I also had surgery on June 6th so I guess we're true surgery buddies:-) I also have more pain in one joint that the other. I have found that the more I exercise it to open it it hurts less and less every day. I am hopefully getting splint removed this coming Monday, 3 weeks post- op. Because I am getting it taken off ealier than is the standard I will be limited to a liquid/soft diet for a while longer. However I asked my surgeon what if anything I could chew. He said that anything that required more than 2 chews was off limits for me right now. Other foods you might want to investigate and that don'trequire chewing and that I have eaten with my splint in include: Cottage cheese Mushed up tuna fish with mayonnaise and lemon juice Risotto Houmous Gazpacho I'll think of more as I come across them.
