Guest guest
Hi , I'm from Kansas City. It's good to know someone who shares the same date also I'm not sure what time mine will be yet but the doctor will be calling me the week before to schedule an appt to fit my splint in my mouth so I should find out then. I had to donate my own blood last week and will have to go again this week. I also got some new pj's. I have been in braces about 29 months now. I also took 4 weeks off from work just in case since my job requires a lot of talking on the phone. I'm also a runner and doctor told me no running for 6 weeks but I could walk instead.. just light physical activity. We are definitely in this together. > > > I am having lower jaw surgery in a couple of weeks. although I > have > > > been reading the messages here and have some idea of what I > should > > > expect to eat after surgery, I need help with getting all the food > > i > > > need for atleast 1 week after my surgery. > > > Also, can someone give me some idea of the experience of the > first > > > meal after surgery and after how long were you able to eat. > > > > > > And what exactly should I buy to help me through my first week? > > > alcohol free mouth-wash, ensure, boost.....drinking cup..zip-n > > squeeze > > > bag? > > > Is there a list that I can follow and see what would work for me > or > > > not? Guest guest
Good Morning Kay, I will be going in tomorrow to be fitted for the splint with my OS. Today I am headed over to my OD to check to make sure the hooks and brackets are all okay. I will be donating my blood on next Monday before my pre-op screening at the hospital. I will miss my workouts at the gym following surgery. I am sure my OS will tell me 6 weeks also for physical activity. Anyway, I will write you later, I am headed over to the OD for an 8:40 appt. Have a Great Day, > > > > I am having lower jaw surgery in a couple of weeks. although I > > have > > > > been reading the messages here and have some idea of what I > > should > > > > expect to eat after surgery, I need help with getting all the > food > > > i > > > > need for atleast 1 week after my surgery. > > > > Also, can someone give me some idea of the experience of the > > first > > > > meal after surgery and after how long were you able to eat. > > > > > > > > And what exactly should I buy to help me through my first week? > > > > alcohol free mouth-wash, ensure, boost.....drinking cup..zip- n > > > squeeze > > > > bag? > > > > Is there a list that I can follow and see what would work for > me > > or > > > > not? Guest guest
Why do we have to donate blood? Man I am SOOOO squeamish about blood and needles. I need to get my hypnotherapy sorted ASAP!
Guest guest
Hi Kay, I am just checking in on ya since I haven't heard from my surgery buddy in awhile. Are you all ready for surgery on the 28th? Look at that calendar, only 6 more days to go for both of us. -Caboose
