Guest guest
This brought something to mind that the nutritionist said at our support group last night that I did not know. If you eat beef with vitamin C, such as the pepper steak it helps you absorbed the iron. She said that if you can tolerate citrus when you take your iron it helps to absorb better, but the peppers are high in C and will help you absorb the iron in the beef. Just FYI Re: chinese food? good or bad I had my surgery on April 21, 2004 I've had some Chinese food - but some are definite no-no's for me now. I can't eat rice of any kind and I noticed that the lomein was too greasy for me to tolerate. But the veggies were great! And the pepper steak - oh my - it was the first bit of beef that didn't bother me. And for me hot and spicy was never a problem - thank goodness. I love my spice.
