Guest guest
Hi ! Thanks for the info! I don't know how far I'm bypassed. I had a check up with my surgeon's group two weeks ago, and in a temporary moment of sanity, I marched my rear to the surgical records department of the hospital and requested mine so I can find out. I should have the records within a month, and hopefully with that, I'll be informed. I'm pretty certain that I'm not distal or even a medial, but I wanted to be sure of just what's was going on. Thanks a bunch- Lap RNY 12/02/02 314/166/??? Message: 11 Date: Tue, 10 Feb 2004 12:37:56 -0000 Subject: Re: First day , congrats on getting through the first day! As for how many to do per day, I think 4 is minimum with 1 meal, but it also depends on how far bypassed you are. Do you know? in NJ **************************

Guest guest
Hi from Ireland, just wanted to introduce myself. I am 50 and eventually discovered the courage to do what should have been done 25 years ago....but never too late. Today is the first time I have woken up with braces. What a strange feeling but nothing as bad as I had thought. I have a sever class 3 underbite, so it was time I had something done. To be honest I did not even realise that anything could be done, despite years of going to dentists for cleaning and care.....not one ever mentioned Orthognatic surgery. Thank goodness for the Internet. I know I am at the beginning of the process now , having had all the consultations with the OD and the surgeon. Yesterday as I entered the ODs surgery he said " You OK with this, no going back now " I knew then that this was it and I was in for the long haul . Guest guest
Hi Dave, Welcome to the fun world of braces. I am sure you will adjust to the braces rather quickly and before you know it you will not even know they are there! Just keep the wax handy and you will be just fine. You will find so much information on this support site which will surely help you along your long journey to surgery. It is a slow process that requires patience, but the outcome will be well worth the wait. Best of Luck to You, Surgery 6/28/05 > Hi from Ireland, just wanted to introduce myself.
