Hi Ellen,

I can't help with your emergency, not living near Seattle as I do.

But I have a suggestion for the future. I used to have green banana

emergencies, too, until I discovered freezing them. Now I make sure

we always have extras and just peel them, break in half, and freeze on a

sheet and then keep in a bag. Funnily enough, now that I always

have spares, I don't seem to run out of fresh ones so much. I like

to use the frozen ones for ice cream, and sometimes just munch on one.

It's a bit cold to hold, but I'm always hot now so I love it. I hope

someone near you has some spares for you now.

Hi all,

I live in Bergen County, NJ and need some ripe bananas for the next

couple days. The place I usually go to get em had all GREEN ones today.

Grr! Anyone know where I can go to find some or have a couple to

spare?

Thank you, . I actually was freezing my bananas, but all the sudden I had none left I was just using them for smoothies and then last night i tried a frozen one by itself, so good! Anyways, all the sudden I had none, and there is this place that I count on having ripe ones, but I should've been more prepared. There was a huge party in my backyard for my sister's wedding, it was craziness and I ran out of food so fast, I was not prepared.
