Guest guest
I know my period was a little heavier after surgery for the first 2-3 months, but it has gotten better now. If you are really concerned, don't hesitate, call your surgeon and/or your GYN. Never hesitate to call. in Delaware Lap RNY 3/10/04 261/171/
Guest guest
Diane, Please take yourself to the hospital now. My mother recently went through the same experience and also, at first talked her way out of going to the hospital--I argued with her and won. They called in a gyncology oncologist who informed us that unexplained vaginal bleeding could have many causes one of them being uterine cancer (1st sign of) and that it was very good that we had come in so quickly. They kept her in the hospital overnight, did a biopsy-- no cancer, (yeah!) and so therefore did a D & C and released her the following afternoon. It turns out that she was continuing to produce a fair amount of estrogen and that had caused the lining of her uterus to become very thick. IF it HAD BEEN uterine cancer, then we would have caught it in time before it had the chance to spread anywhere else in her body. So for the sake of your health and peace of mind have it checked out immediately. (HINT: if you go to the doctor's office they will make you wait weeks and weeks to do the biopsy as an outpatient, so try to get yourself admitted to the hospital by going to the emergency room and complaining of vaginal hemoraging). Let us know what happens, Elsa Lap RNY 6/7/2004 331/276/120 Re: ? for the ladies ok this is not something the guys wanna read about I know. But I woke up this morning in a puddle of blood. And I should have about been done with my normally short menestrual cycle. I have lost like 70 pounds or so in 5 months. I almost went to the hospital but talked myself out of it. Is the cause my weight loss? Has anyone experienced this? Should I be concerned ?when I sit on the toilet blood & clots flow bad. Sorry if to much info. Thanks for any help.
