They use anesthesia called Propofol and you are totally out for the duration of your procedure, but come too quickly after they stop administering it. Kind of like the stuff they use at the dentist office, only better. There are usually no residual side effects. Some people may be sleepy afterwards, but not normally. You do have to have a driver to take you home after your procedure and you shouldn't sign any important documents within 24 hours of having it. A lot of these warnings are overkill on the doctors part, but they do have to cover their butts and too, some people do get a reaction from it. Better safe than sorry. Good luck to you.
