Hi Kim,Olive oil sits on the surface of my skin more than jojoba does, and for that reason needs wiping off in the short-term. With olive, I am more cautious about my clothes, my sheets, etc. as it does seem to slick onto them if I don't wait long enough and/or use too much. A little goes a LONG way. Jojoba absorbs in, and needs reapplying like a skin cream. What I love about both of them is that they work equally well on face, hands, body, feet. Do be careful if putting on your feet, and the wearing sandals (or another slide-type of shoe.) One time I slid right out of my shoes because I wasn't aware of how slippery it can be.My regime is to use jojoba in the morning (when dressing for work) and olive oil after a shower/face wash in the evening for a deeper moisturizing. From time to

time I use petro-jelly on the rims of my eyes. It helps maintain my tear film and keep my eyes moist in a way that olive/jojoba does not. Great solution for dry eye. I don't *want* to use it either, tho.I've never tried coconut on the skin; no particular reason, just that other things have worked well for me up to now.I stay away from other nut oils (like sweet almond) despite their super reputation, because of a nut allergy.Best, Nina in MAI’m

heading towards using olive oil on my skin, since facial and body lotions have

begun to be more aggravating instead of soothing. Do you apply the olive

(or jojoba) oil, let it sit for a bit, then wipe off? I’m just

curious about the details [grin]. I

tried using coconut oil on my skin (arms and back) back when I started SCD and

was dealing with candida-related rashes and found I couldn’t swallow

coconut oil so wanted to use up the bottle somehow. But I found my skin

reacted badly to the coconut oil. I’m wondering if it will also

react to the olive oil. Do you find jojoba oil better tolerated by your

skin? My

hands love petroleum jelly, but I just don’t want to use that on my face

or the rest of my body. [grin] An oil would be a much better alternative,

I think.
