Guest guest
Joanne, Congratulations on surviving your extractions!! That Hydrocodone is some really great stuff - have some left over from my extraction last month. Be careful not to chew near the areas though; that's easier said than done since the food just tends to slide right over to the " holes " . My surgeon told me not to chew on my left side for 3 weeks, but when he saw how well I was healing, he told me to go right ahead. My tongue has found the hole and now I have a little speech impediment. I should be getting my braces sometime in the next few months; I'm waiting for my Orthodontist to develop my treatment plan and review it with me - that's scheduled for June 21st, and then off to my OMS for the Orthognathic Surgery consult, which is scheduled for July 18th. I'm on their " cancellation list " , so maybe I can get in earlier. I just want to get going with all this - this waiting is driving me up a wall! If I'm this impatient now, just wait til next year, when I get closer to my surgery date!! My OD can't go ahead and put the braces on til he talks with my OMS and then with me. My OMS wants to meet with me twice (July 18th for the work-up and a few weeks after that to discuss his surgical plans for me) before the braces are put on, so I'm playing the OD/OMS waiting game for a while, I guess.// When are you having your surgery? How much longer will you be in braces? Take care. / Diane (Idaho) > I had the extractions done (2nd bicuspids on top, 1st bicuspids on > bottom) at 10 am this morning.
