Guest guest
Thank you for all the wonderful information you all provide here and on your websites! I have been studying non-stop for a week now and we started SCD TODAY! We are doing the yeast version of SCD since that's our main concern, with digestive problems being only occasional. The diet is primarily for my 3-1/2 yr. old Emma who has severe eczema and sensitive skin issues (can't be in sun, swim in pool, etc.). However, little brother (21 mos.) and Mom are also going on the diet. LB (Ben) is still on homemade raw goat's milk formula as written in Nourishing Traditions recipe. He is old enough to stop drinking a bottle, but I fear taking him off this formula as I believe it has kept him thus far healthier than his sister. (It contains healthy unrefined fats, c and b vitamins, etc. The milk is also diluted by half with water.) I should mention that I suspect yeast problems with Ben as well. He has skin discoloration (white patches) and the occasional eczema patch on his foot. His stools are 1 out of 3 times solid. Should I do SCD with him off formula or will it not count unless he gets off? I know he can't tolerate cow's milk and doubt BTVC recipe would work for us. Any expert with knowledge of the NT goat's milk formula and BTVC out there? Help! Thanks a million. Garrido
