Now I can't wait to get the splint out! > > One step at a time, > > > , I had my wires cut a week ago today, like you I thought my mouth was wide open. Each day I can open more and more today I can get the end of my thumb in. I use a baby spoon to get little bits of food in. My trouble is that my tongue is still numb so it does not move the food to the back of my mouth it just sits there. It's kind of scarey, once again I feel like I'm going to choke. For some reason I thought when I was unwired that I would be able to just open like normal, and let the eating begin. I've lost 17 lbs and didn't have 10 pounds to spare. I'm Ok with all of this I'm just getting a bit tired of explaining why I can't eat, why I'm so thin, why I had this done. I guess I just need to keep going I'm closer to the finish line the the starting line!!!!! Michele ( with 1 L )
