my surgeon actually said " ride a bike? yes. fall off? no way " so

maybe stick to a stationary bike. he also said to be careful taking

aerobic classes - as one of his patients got hit in the face by

someone's hand.

Also, avoid putting your head down if you've had upper surgery - too

much pressure (like downward dog pose in yoga).

You remind me with the face comment about an exercise class I was in

last week, in a very cramped space (it's amazing how many yoga

students you can fit into one room) - anyway, we were doing one

particular pose where the foot hangs over in a fairly awkward pose

for some. My neighbour's foot was dangling perilously close to my

face, so I lay there with my right hand facing up, karate-style, over

my nose. I sure didn't want her foot to come crashing down if she

lost her balance!
