That's blasted petrifying. Anyone who hasn't been there has no concept of how truly horrifying it is to hear the words, " It's malignant. " Just as no one who doesn't have it truly understands what any one individual case of IBD is like to someone who does, it's impossible to convey the terror of " How can my body betray me like this? " And the idea that one should go through the surgery, the chemo, the radiation, and then find out it was unnecessary?!
