The diet is not cutting it anymore. He was on Flagyl for 10 days and did great with that...his first solid stools in all that time....but that only lasted for about 2 weeks and then the symptoms started to return. He tests negative for everything in a regular stool sample. His GI doc prescribed a medication for children with inflammatory bowel disease to help treat this....we'll see what happens. Any more info needed, let me know....

Guest guest
Yay!!! I got my results from the GI doc today, and the results show that the biopsies from my small bowel (what is this?), mid and upper colon, and small intestine look normal!!! Just one area to keep on plugging away at healing - my lower colon shows mild colitis - UC. This is a change from my previous diagnosis of CD. 6 years into SCD and I've made progress, but more to come! Any positive vibes for good health my way so I'm able to enjoy 2 weeks in Costa Rica in November for my wedding are much appreciated. Thanks for letting me be part of such a great group!! Guest guest
Great news, Tasha! I'm going in for my first colonoscopy and endoscopy tomorrow. I'm nervous but hearing that you made it with no complications encourages me. I hope your wedding turns out to be even more wonderful than expected. Congratulations on your progress! - Celiac, parasites SCD since December 2008 > > Yay!!!
