23 days post op

HI Everyone,

I am 23 days post op today and really discouraged. I have been doign

really well (eating mashed potatoes, etc) and have been so proud of

myself because I have only been using a pain med once a day. This is

wonderful for me b/c before surgery I bought codeine by the bottle

fulls. It was the only way I could cope. Well today I have been having

alot of pain and in the side that hasn't been bothering me. I had to

take codeine three times (I was in tears and just had to) Then at the

end of the day I put a soft piece of cookie in my mouth and was sucking

on it and all of a sudden my right side (the joint that has been

sensitive all day) felt like it snapped out of place and boy did it

urt. On top of the pain it scared me half to death. I sat in the chair

and cried my eyes out! Are any of you haing ups & downs like this? I

probbaly get feeling better and then push myself too far.......
