Guest guest
i had to keep a journal for like a four day period of time pre-op and then four days post-op about 3 weeks out when i thought i wasn't doing things right. i was but needed to get more protein and calories in so my nutrienist suggested eating full cottage cheese (4% fat) and whole cheese (not light or low fat). it doesn't hurt to keep journals though, i just don't take the time, specially when i'm at work all day. take care and have a great day!! laurette 4/23/04 open rny 309/290/244/

Guest guest
my nutritionist asked me to keep track of what i was eating in a journal and when i followed up with her 4 weeks post-op she went through it and told me what i should or shouldn't be doing. it was very helpful for her to see it and for me to write it because i knew how much protein i was getting, etc. i also kept a personal journal about 6 weeks prior to my surgery until the present. it helped to write and read my mood changes and analyze maybe why i was feeling certain ways. now i look back and think to myself, wow, i can't believe i felt that way. it is very theraputic. in Delaware Lap RNY 3/10/04 261/172/
Guest guest
I haven't had the surgery yet but I'm in the process of getting it. the dietician has me write down everything I eat and she says I will have to continue to do that after surgery Love Debbie
Guest guest
Patty You will be in my thoughts. I am glad you found someone to stay with you. Maybe before I go back to work I will take a ride down and see you. How far are you from Mystic Aquarium? GS and I like to go there too. I feel fine except I am very tired, no pain and I have a giant bruise right across my stomach. Dr said I must have bleed a little after surgery but I would be alright except for turning all different colors. DIL took a picture but I think I will wait to show you. LOL Don't be nervous, I got scared after I checked in, but soon I was in laa laa land. I woke up in a private room, just lucked out that was the only room they had open so to make up for " inconviencing " me I got phone and TV a long with the private for nothing extra. I am having trouble getting all the protein in, yesterday I had a wicked headache, then I remembered I had not eaten (drank) anything for 8 hours. Got to keep track of protein. I also sleep in the reclining chair in my room, I have a water bed at home and it was hard for me to sleep on the hard mattress, so I do have a sore butt. LOL I am rambling, must be the ansethia (can't spell either) bye Pat > hello, > my Dr. is not making me do a journal pre op.
