How long post-op till normal life

i will be having only lower jaw surgery using rigid fixation on july

13th. my surgery will be relatively minor from what i understand. i

will be taking one week off of work. i believe the first week or so i

am wired shut. my question is, how long will it take for the swelling

to go down (on average) and for the numbness to slowly subside (on

average)...im assuming swelling goes down by the end of week 2 and

numbness in 2 or 3 months? what about normal foods? like 4 or 5 weeks

of soft foods is what they usually say, correct? curious to know what

the general consensus is and what people's experiences have been.
