Guest guest
Hi! I am a new user as well, and I suppose I am the only person from Singapore in this group Really glad everyone had a chance to go through the operation to correct any jaw deformities As for me, I am really keen on this surgery as I have a slight overbite, so I tend to have a pretty weak bite if you want me to chew off chicken wings or related stuff I suppose this surgery cost quite a bit? I used to have braces, from age 12-14. I am now 19. I still can't close my mouth properly and I have a pretty gummy grin However, my parents are really against me going for this surgery. A single mention of it in their face and I can get reprimanded pretty badly. The reason being, they believe I am being vain. Some people just do not understand the pain of not having something that others consider 2nd nature I suppose. I am currently collecting a lot of information on this surgery and I can only say this group seemed really warm and helpful I am now working and studying at the same time, hoping to have enough funds to have the operation at least before my university graduation I hope to face the corporate world with brand new confidence. The confidence to laugh openly in front of everyone without having to cover it all the time. The ability to bite off chicken wings using my front teeth, not sideways This group has gave me a lot of courage although the pictures kinda freaked me out! Especially those immediate post-op! tubes everywhere! Was it common to throw up after the op? I have read a lot of biographies on people who have gone through this operation, and most mention about throwing up in the 3rd-5th day post op. Hope that you guys continue to provide support for people going through this surgery to gain more confidence. And hopefully, you guys will see my post-op pictures too LiHui > > > > > Hi.
