Guest guest
, I'm just past three weeks post-op (upper/lower) and my cheek swelling is slowly going down. The areas closer to my ears seem to be going down first and the areas closer to my nose are the ones that are still puffy. I had upper surgery a couple of years ago (palatel expansion) and had what my Mom lovingly referred to as " chipmunk cheeks " for a couple of months. Most folks couldn't tell after a month or so, but I could - both see it and feel it. Everyone seems to be different. But, I'd say in the next month or so, you should start seeing a noticable difference. I understand that heat treatment helps bring the swelling down for some. Take care, Carol > I am still experiencing some puffiness in my cheeks - 6 weeks after > surgery - no pain, no bruising anymore - I asked my OS about this - he > says it's normal to have this residual swelling - that the tissues > were traumatized.
