Guest guest
I want to thank all of you who responded to my letter. I had no idea that there were others with the problem. Dumb of someone who researched the surgery so " carefully " . You made me feel so much better. Re the revision, I'm not sure that is the way I want to go right now. I'm looking at my second knee replacement sometime this year. And since I'm 59, I just don't know about more wls. I am going to find someone to scope my pouch tho-the more I think about this the madder I get. I think that I prefer being mad and proactive rather than sad and sorry for myself. The very best of luck to all who have this problem and are getting revisions. I hope that it works out for you. At the very least you have given me ammo to educate the uninformed about this aspect of the surgery. Judy

I've been asked to write an article on it for " Beyond Change " and am gratified to have one more outlet to educate others about the situation. Spread the word. Action is better, as you said, than a pity party. Carol A (still madder 'n heck about it all)
Guest guest
Carol, I keep meaning to ask but is it better to have a horizontal pouch or vertical? I remember a discussion about it, but can't recall. I have a nasty ulcer and it's looking like surgery to repair the darn thing, so while I'm at it, thought I'd make sure I have the better pouch. I'm really glad that you are going to write an article about stomas, can't wait to read it.
