Guest guest
to the best of my knowledge, carbonation won't cause reflux. Many of us get heartburn, but reflux can be a sign that your big old tummy is back in business, allowing the stomach acid to back up into your esophagus). Are you transected? If not, and I'm not trying to scare you, but it could be a sign of a staple line disruption. If you are transected, it could be a fistula. You might want to get to to a doctor to get scoped and see what's going on. Good luck, in NJ **************************** > First of all I will start by saying that I know that the carbonation in diet soda isn't any good for us. That doesn't change the fact that I seem to be addicted to at least 2 Diet Cokes per day. Here is my question: Would the acid in these sodas make acid reflux more likely to reappear? I have been taking over the counter Zantac lately because I seem to be suffering from acid reflux. Or could that just be a coincidence? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. > > Rinn
