This was on pecanbread. It lists the brands that lead was found in and Welch's grape juice is one of them. http://eatdrinkandbe.org/article/index.0614_law_juicelead My goodness! Only ONE grape juice didn't have lead! I can't believe the Knudsen's ORGANIC Just Concord Grape was bad! It's not even from concentrate! Not that I drink that much juice, but that's very surprising. Hi Alyssa and ,

Thanks you guys. With the resolution on my laptop and not having my glasses on

last night I just totally didn't see that " here " was a hyperlink. LOL.

How upsetting all of this is.

I wonder if this contributed to my high lead levels?

I no longer drink store bought juice but still..

My goodness me..

Jodi

Have you guys seen the master food chart about how all of the -huge- fodd

companies (like General Mills and Kellogs) like own pretty much all of the

organic companies? I wonder if they are processed in the same facilities?

Given how widespread it is, it's probably from the soil content where the vines

are planted - so fresh grape

juice might have it too.

Hi Mara,

Good point but still why would this apply to apple juice as well?

I think it may have to do with the glass containers that are used for storing

the juice. So many brands today are owned by the same companies that I wonder

which manufacturing facilities are they using and which specific companies are

they using for packaging supplies?

Isn't the real question, how much lead? I asked my very good doctor

awhile back about some fruit or veggie I had read about having lead

in it, and he said that all things that grow have SOME lead in

them. It's a question of how much. Now, maybe 100 years ago there

wouldn't have been any, but now there's always some, I guess.

Good point..

I kind of *assumed* (you know what they say when we assume? LOL)

that it was too much lead.. perhaps it is just a small amount?

Would that be detectable?

I am wondering why I have such high lead levels?

Also, can you tell me what you do for liver support on LDN?

Do you find it is helping you?

I should email you directly as to what I am thinking of doing..

I asked the manager at Trader Joe's about the list yesterday since several of their products are on it. He said that California has a proposition to lower the allowed lead levels in food below the federal levels. He said that TJ's is in the process of testing their foods. He said all of the foods listed comply with the Federal lead levels so there are at present no recalls on any of the products listed.I was disconcerted to find there were allowable lead levels in my food and I plan to look into California's proposition more. I figure if they think it's important to lower them, it's probably a good idea. I'm going to try to find out some more about this. JeanineSCD 3 1/2 yearsceliacIsn't the real question, how much lead?
