Here is the latest update inthe world of me: I went for my monthly adjustment

at myorthos today (Surgery April 20, upper lower, wired for two weeks, banded

until today) and they said that I could stop wearing my bands except at night

(and only two at night and not three) and that my jaw had not moved at all,

AND....

If all goes well I should be out of the birthcontrol.. I mean braces by August

or september (one or two more visits!!!!!) I was so pumped when I left.

My ortho even had me go into a consultation wiht him and a prospective patient

who was facing hte same type of process I was. It was interesting to hear him

tell the guy the same things I was told 14 months ago!

I am hoping that they will be gone by august.. would be nice to go back to class

with teeth showing instead of metal...*drools at the thought of normality*

ANyways, I am still lurking and shall be reading through the msgs form time to

time... hope everyone elses process is going well..

PS> has anyone ever heard their ortho say that ideally 3/4 of the length of your

bottom teeth shoudl be showing? i.e. you should see 3/4 of the tooth from the

tip, 3/4 of the way towards the gum.. on the bottom? i heard my orth say it

today and thought it was interesting...
