Guest guest
The SCD yogurt was the first thing I made and I ate it from the beginning. I was always a big yogurt lover and tolerated it well. You can vary the meats early on- chicken, fish, beef, pork, lamb.. to get variety. At first I was only eating cooked apples and pears and very few veggies for fruits and veggies and tried a new one every so often. I always cooked them and pureed them. It took almost a year to try some raw. I tolerated the nut butters early on as well. I started with Almondie- very expensive but made with blanched almonds and easily tolerated. I then learned to make pecan butter in the food processor. My favorite treat was dripped yogurt, topped with banana (raw and ripe is OK) and pecan butter- add cinnamon and a little honey. Then I started to put on weight... so I limit this treat and honey and watch my carbs. After a few months I could do the nut flours but in small amounts. They are wonderful but also caloric. I eat these rarely and if my teen daughter gets into them, they go quickly. Just progress slow and steady. First time I jumped right in without preparing and found myself starving and lost about 5 pounds. The last time I made a slow transition taking out wheat and gluten first, then sugar, followed by potatoes, then corn and finally rice. Went 57 days without D or cramping after cutting out wheat and gluten, so decided to go all in 10 days ago. I did the intro diet for 2 days, no D or cramping so should have been sufficient, and then started adding food back in. I started with things that were not bothering me prior to clean out and then Sunday I started feeling sick and got D, same on Monday. Went back to eating rice and corn yesterday and feeling better. > > > > > > Anyways, I believe the SCD diet will work but I think I am doing something wrong. Plan to restock and do intro again. Only once the intro is done I don't know what to eat. > > > > > > Can anyone please help? > > > > > >
