SWEARS he was an ACTOR before he was Dr. Phil! Every time he sees him

he swears he has seen him in some movie. LOL I agree...big time Fish Oil

Salesman. I wouldn't buy anything from him if he PAID me. LOLOL

I can't watch him, and I won't support his sponsors. Ever since I saw him

on

Oprah telling a 500+ pound woman who was crying and begging for help to just

" get in touch with her inner child " and she'll lose the weight, I realized

he's just a fish oil salesman. The sad part is that when Oprah endorses

someone,

America listens. If only she would wake up and smell the coffee.

I have a like/hate relationship with Dr. Phil. Sometimes he says

something, and I'm saying, " Yeah! Wow! That makes sense! " and the

next minute I'm saying, " You idiot! You don't know what the heck

you're talking about! " (I talk to the TV a lot, much to my teenage

son's chagrin! LOL)

One of the times I get mad at him is always during the weight loss

shows. He has no clue. He is certainly not an expert. At least Oprah,

although she had a personal trainer, personal chef, etc., has been

obese and has fought the battle. Dr. Phil is more & more

entertainment, and now more & more about $$$$, than he is helpful

psychology. He's not a know-it-all, he just plays one on TV. :)

Just my humble opinion.

Deb,

You crack me up! I can actually picture you talking to the tv (and

cringing in the background!). How's that new flat tummy doing? I'm hoping

to get back up there next month sometime - do I get to see the scar? :)

Actually Dr. Phil is syndicated. Here in Rhode Island he's on the local ABC

channel. Basically, you could find him anywhere.

As far as I'm concerned, what anyone else says about WLS is irrelevant.

Fine if Oprah wants to make judgments, or Dr. Phil......I bet they've talked

about it. Who cares? They're just TV people, actors.

Everyone is different, but for me, WLS was the " easy way out " because it was

absolutely the ONLY way out. It wasn't easy for the first couple of months,

but it's been a miracle ever since. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the

entire world.

Also, it's my experience that when people know absolutely everything, like

Dr. Phil thinks he does, given enough rope they'll hang themselves. Anyone

want to bet? Those people will be all skinny and tearful in a year, but I'd

like to see a follow-up three years later. Of course, then it will be " all

their fault, " according to Phil, I'm sure. Damn, I'm ticked off now too!

Dear Lucille,

You are so on target with your post about this guy, but your way of wording

things had me rolling with tears streaming down my face. Thanks for the

best laugh I've had in quite some time.

live each day like it's your last... love like you've never been hurt...
