Guest guest
SWEARS he was an ACTOR before he was Dr. Phil! Every time he sees him he swears he has seen him in some movie. LOL I agree...big time Fish Oil Salesman. I wouldn't buy anything from him if he PAID me. LOLOL Debbie & in Gig Harbor (170cm medial) ladybostons@... http://www.cafeshops.com/copsstore http://www.marykay.com/debbiemcneice -----Original Message----- From: watnext@... I can't watch him, and I won't support his sponsors. Ever since I saw him on Oprah telling a 500+ pound woman who was crying and begging for help to just " get in touch with her inner child " and she'll lose the weight, I realized he's just a fish oil salesman. The sad part is that when Oprah endorses someone, America listens. If only she would wake up and smell the coffee. in NJ
Guest guest
I have a like/hate relationship with Dr. Phil. Sometimes he says something, and I'm saying, " Yeah! Wow! That makes sense! " and the next minute I'm saying, " You idiot! You don't know what the heck you're talking about! " (I talk to the TV a lot, much to my teenage son's chagrin! LOL) One of the times I get mad at him is always during the weight loss shows. He has no clue. He is certainly not an expert. At least Oprah, although she had a personal trainer, personal chef, etc., has been obese and has fought the battle. Dr. Phil is more & more entertainment, and now more & more about $$$$, than he is helpful psychology. He's not a know-it-all, he just plays one on TV. Just my humble opinion. Guest guest
Deb, You crack me up! I can actually picture you talking to the tv (and cringing in the background!). How's that new flat tummy doing? I'm hoping to get back up there next month sometime - do I get to see the scar? ---------------------------------------- Terry Mayers 5DollarHosting.com http://www.5dollarhosting.com .... because it shouldn't cost a fortune to make a fortune! Guest guest
Actually Dr. Phil is syndicated. Here in Rhode Island he's on the local ABC channel. Basically, you could find him anywhere. Tigger > Dear Ruth in NY... > > Dr. Phil is on CBS, not NBC (I've already written)... >
Guest guest
As far as I'm concerned, what anyone else says about WLS is irrelevant. Fine if Oprah wants to make judgments, or Dr. Phil......I bet they've talked about it. Who cares? They're just TV people, actors. Everyone is different, but for me, WLS was the " easy way out " because it was absolutely the ONLY way out. It wasn't easy for the first couple of months, but it's been a miracle ever since. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the entire world. Also, it's my experience that when people know absolutely everything, like Dr. Phil thinks he does, given enough rope they'll hang themselves. Anyone want to bet? Those people will be all skinny and tearful in a year, but I'd like to see a follow-up three years later. Of course, then it will be " all their fault, " according to Phil, I'm sure. Damn, I'm ticked off now too! Dr. Phil > Dr. Phil is not the only one guilty of incorrect assumptions > about weight loss surgery. I have seen several Oprah shows > where she made the comment that somebody had lost weight > " THE HARD WAY, " when speaking of somebody dieting the > traditional way. > > That too makes my blood boil!!! I believe me almost dying after > surgery says something about my commitment to my weight > loss, not to mention my my on-going struggle to eat right and > stay healthy after the surgery. > > She has no right to speak either. > > kathy > > *********************************** > Open Roux-en-Y > with 150cm Alimentary Limb > 07/05/02 > 416 Highest weight > 411/236/150 (hopefully) > > > > > > Homepage: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Graduate-OSSG > > Unsubscribe: mailto:Graduate-OSSG-unsubscribe > > > > >
