" Slenderizing " isn't appropriate for everyone, Diane. It was for me,

because the alternative was losing a tooth that has served me for

three more years since I first saw him, but was in question -- and

indeed, prompted this whole process, for me.

You'll survive spacers, although you probably won't enjoy them. Do

take some advil, alleve, or whatever before you go to the

installation appointment. There are those who argue that these

NSAIDS delay movement. For me, that was worth the wait.

Powerchains are no big deal -- or weren't for me. For me, they

actually felt better, as they cushioned the brackets and wires. I

begged to have them put back after they were removed, and got my

wish, at least part of the time.
