Guest guest
Sorry guys, this is a girl thing. Okay, here I am almost 15 months postop, and I think I'm falling apart physically. I have a bad nasty ulcer, that I'm hoping they don't have to repair surgically. Had 2 kidney stones removed surgically, oh that was fun. Had 3 viral infections all at the same time (mild west Nile, inner ear and one other that I can't remember the name of) I get to go in next week for a ct scan of my abdomen as I'm having lots of pain with eating, that goes from the middle of my breast bone down to below my belly button. AND 1.5 months ago I started having these weird things where I would get boiling hot and then ice cold. 3 months ago I had my dr run my hormones and things were perfectly normal. Last week I insisted that he run them again and holy cow, I'm not pre-menopause . . . . I'm full blown post menopause. I have like 30 hotflashes a day and can hardly sleep at night. My dogs have put in a petition to have their own bed, as I toss the covers off, pull them back on, all night long . . . the poor little dears can't get any sleep. Oh, did I mention that I'm only 42 and. . . . that I gained 5 pounds, in like 3 days. While eating soup and protein drinks (ulcer prevents me from eating very well). OH and . . I went to put on one of my work outfits this morning and it was way too tight in the tummy. Disgustingly tight, which almost made me panic. I wonder some days if I'm going to wake up and all that weight will have found it's way back. My tummy looks huge, swollen. Last week I went to the store and bought Estroven, it hasn't helped, but I've only been taking it for one week. It has lots of good stuff in it and I can tell . . . because it makes my urine a real pretty yellow. b-12 that I know I don't absorb in this form. I'm going to see my regular gyno in week, she doesn't know squat about this surgery. I don't know squat about all of the information out there. My mother died of ovarian cancer and I know that I have to be very careful in that regard. My dr. said that it is probably the weight loss that brought this on so quick and so early. Do any of you have experience with this? Can anyone help me out here? My dogs are more than willing to offer a reward, or at the very least give away some of their old but very favorite toys.
