Guest guest
Hi all, I am so glad to have found this group. After years of being told by my doctor that what you eat makes no difference, I was turned on to the SCD by a friend's friend who apparently had success. I don't have the book yet but started following the illegal/legal foods list on Sunday afternoon. I have Crohn's and started flaring last friday, pretty bad on Saturday, and not so bad on Sunday (mostly because I stopped eating). Since I started this diet I have no more cramping, less blood, and feel so good. I cannot believe it. The only thing worrying me is that I have not had a BM since Sunday. This seems odd to me. From D to no BM in a matter of days . . . ? I couldn't find any information re: whether this is normal. Did anyone in this group have a similar experience when first starting the diet? Thanks so much! Amy
Guest guest
What are you eating? It's good that you feel well, but best to follow the intro diet. http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/beginners_guide/the_intro_diet2.htm See also " getting started with SCD " in the files section of this board. Best wishes for success, PJ > > Hi all, > > I am so glad to have found this group. Did anyone in this group have a similar experience when first starting the diet?Welcome, and glad you're feeling better so quickly! In the beginning, there is so much changing in your gut that nothing is normal, really. Or, I guess you could say everything is normal! You'll probably have some very inconsistent BMs for the first few weeks as your body gets used to this new way of eating, so I wouldn't worry about it too much for now.
