Hi ,

Sounds like you don't have quite as many hooks as I do which is good

news. I have a hook between each tooth upper and lower. I think 18

total hooks. The worst for me were the lower ones. My lip would get

caught in them for the first few days. Now I don't even notice they

are there. On a good note I have lost 6 lbs. since they have been on

because eating is a pain with them on. You will have more food

trapped in the hooks and brackets than you swallow..(haha)

I have had the wires instead of the 0 rings for the past year. You

will like it better because you don't have to worry about staining.

I am like you in only having a few remaining appts. before surgery.

I have one more appt. with my OS on June 14th, one with my OD on June

17th, and my pre-op screening at the hospital on June 20th.

I have only 34 days to go!! Yea!!!!
