I

deal with chronic nausea as part of having Sphincter of Oddi dysfunction (and

neuropathies), so I sympathize. I keep Phenergan (another anti-nausea

med.) on hand for the really bad days.

You

are dealing with difficult circumstances, so you may end up choosing to eat

your daily piece of bread. Sometimes we have to make choices to continue

using something that contains ingredients that aren’t recommended or

permitted on SCD. Lesser of evils decision.

Just

remember that continuing to eat grains will delay your healing. But this

might be the only solution for you. Unfortunately we can’t do SCD

less than 100% and expect healing. The continual consumption of

polysaccharides will continue the vicious cycle. But for now this may be

the best choice for you. Just expect a longer healing time.

Have

you tried nut flour breads as an alternative? You can make a fairly dry

nut flour bread, and it doesn’t have to be sweet.

I

need to be able to take the daily dose without getting sick. I know that bread

is not allowed on SCD, but I wondered if anyone (in an extreme case like this)

has ever been able to make a slight alteration to SCD by adding ezekial bread

once a day?

I am sorry for asking and I wish I did not have to find some way to alter the

SCD but I can't keep getting so sick.

thank you for any ideas,
