Vitamin D

Different folks respond differently to the disease process, just as we respond differently to the various treatments. I've had no problems with vit D or calcium (some produce too much calcium, in the blood or in the urine). Even my sarc doc recommends I take calcium supp with vit D, as I'm not taking any other bone-protectant meds. I'm 61 & although my bone density dropped quite a bit after 2 years of Pred, since it was excellent to begin with, it's still in the low-normal range. The Pred wrecked my teeth, however, and I'm still having lots of dental problems. I would discuss this with your neuro or primary care provider; they can assess your individual status, labs, etc. Let us know how your doctor visit went.
