Tiger cubs

I had an unusual opportunity today. There is a big cat rescue organization in town, raising funds & awareness re: tigers. For a reasonable charge, we were actually allowed in a cage with 2 tiger cubs, about 6 wks. of age. They also had a 3-mo. cub that older kids & adults could pet, but you could see a big difference in his demeanor, so I stuck to the babies. The handlers talked about tigers not being good pets, even though these cubs were so cute & relatively harmless. They also explained to the kids about the decrease in tiger habitats & other threats to their continued existence. I thought it was an excellent program. There had been a few PETA people there earlier protesting, saying the tigers were being exploited, but I thought the potential benefit from the education was worthwhile. Anyway, I posted a few pics on Facebook; I'll also add them to my album, Rose's World, for those not on FB. Just go to the NS group homepage, linked at the bottom of this message as on all the group messages, click Photos, then find my album. For those who have not visited the photos, it's fun to match faces with names. Add your own photos, too! You can create your own album or put your pics in the NS Family Album. I'm having a little trouble typing, because my own little tiger kitty, Dude, keeps trying to lay on the keyboard, so I have to correct his errors! After posting those photos, I'm going night-night.
