Guest guest
Hi Judy, Sorry to hear the ears are still a problem. Maybe you'll need a longer time on antibiotics. Also, I know one time they (ENT) was going to put tubes (like kids get) in my ears to drain fluid. The day I went in to have it done it was cured. Luckily I haven't had any problems with my ears. We'll see when I try to fly the end of next month. My left ear has always given fits when I fly. Lumpy area below the lower jaw could either be a enlarged lymph node (wouldn't be uncommon if you have an infection). I had a lumpy jaw on the left where about where they put the screws in, and OS said not worry. I noticed today it's gone. Must of just been the inflammation. I've been taking Advil a few times a day. I know what you mean about the sores, wires, braces, etc. Though I don't have the wires in my jaw like you. I got real down with braces this week. I have wires that are catching the lip (I live too far to make a special trip back to the OD). And my side is real sore where they have the rubber bands. I do still rinse with salt water and peridex (generic form). My surgeon said to continue with the rinses as all the stitches take a while to fall out. Plus my back molar on that side is below the gum and gets irritated real easy. One highlight today was I made some sweet potatoes, with Benecol (like a margarine), brown sugar & cinnamon. Hmmm, that sure hit the spot. I get tired of looking at all the Boost & Ensure in the refrigerator. So I'm trying to figure out what else I can eat via blender or mushing up and sucking in. I'm not sure what you can eat since you're wired, but hope you're able to get some other choices. I even blenderized pinto beans with salsa. Thinking of you, Hugs, Shirley
