Guest guest
Hi and ! I've been cleared to chew since day one this time around. Since the bone was removed and artificial joints put in, there is no bone to heal. It still feels weird to try to chew though. I haven't been able to chew for three years now so my muscles have really tightened up and atrophies. When I try to chew, everything just squeezes out into my cheeks and braces. The thickest I've been able to chew was some really mushy squash that my husband overcooked for me. It does take a while to be able to chew again even after you've been cleared. I don't think I'll ever be able to manage a steak but it actually doesn't taste bad blended up despite the way it looks! , you have been through a lot. Now I feel bad about whining about my six jaw surgeries. I hope your surgery goes well for you on Wednesday and you can finally get rid of that pesky infection. Hope you two have a good weekend! minirascal- > > Hi , > > > > I had a combined Le Fort one and two maxillary osteotomies, as well > as having my nose lengthened etc. They also took a bone graft from my > hip, which was very sore after wards I was confined to bed for 3 > days!
